Coco Choco is a luxurious, deep chocolate brown direct color. It works well on different base shades: on platinum blonde, the color appears brighter, on darker hair it deepens into a rich chocolate brown, and on very light hair it may reveal a beautiful reddish-brown tint. Coco Choco fades beautifully into a natural lighter brown, with results depending on hair type, coloring method, and hair care. For best results, lighten your hair to level 8-9 using Herman's amazing lightening set, then apply Coco Choco direct color to dry, conditioner-free hair. After 60–90 minutes, you’ll have beautiful chocolate brown hair that lasts for 8–12 washes. Conditioner-based, ammonia-free. All Hermans Professional products are vegan and cruelty-free. The color lasts approximately 8–15 washes; results may vary. You can keep leftover color or mix it with conditioner for regular color refreshes. HOW TO USE Reduce heat styling a week before lightening. Avoid curling irons, heat rollers, straighteners, hairdryers, and other heat tools. Heat damages hair, and bleaching is already a big strain, so give your hair a break beforehand. Natural, untreated hair is healthier and suffers less from bleaching. Comb your hair. (Combing before bleaching helps distribute the product evenly.) Lighten your hair to at least level 8–9. Rinse out the lightening product and dry your hair. If your hair looks too yellow after lightening, use No Yellow shampoo or mask to neutralize yellow tones before coloring. Apply and leave for 1–3 minutes. This step is crucial to prevent the final color from turning too warm. Apply a thick layer of hair color and massage into your hair. Leave the color on for at least 60–90 minutes or longer. You can even leave it overnight if desired. The longer you leave it, the longer the color lasts and the brighter the result. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water. MAINTENANCE Avoid shampooing for at least 24 hours. Rinse with cool water to minimize fading. Reducing wash frequency extends color longevity. Use a sulfate-free shampoo. Mix leftover color with conditioner or use it as a treatment to maintain color vibrancy.
