Wintergreen Couch Grass is the basic couch grass option for full sun areas. It has a nice green colour and a fine, soft textured leaf. However, it is also well wearing for children and animals. It has been found to be fairly tolerable to most diseases. Wintergreen Couch Grass goes dormant later than some other varieties. It responds very well to fertiliser and irrigation and has a good density as long as it is well maintained. Regular mowing benefits this lawn greatly. Like all Couch lawns the area needs to be in full sun. Wintergreen Couch Grass Wintergreen Couch Grass is ideal for budget lawns. However, if the area has more than 2 hours shade this grass will die off. Overall whole cost of life will be more expensive than a quality Sir Walter or Zoysia Lawn as it will require more fertiliser, weed control and maintenance. Wintergreen Couch Grass is well suited to the climate of South East Queensland. If you live in a frost affected area, the Wintergreen Couch will brown off, but will recover by applying fertilizer and water.
