‘- About Bunka Gakuen –BUNKA GAKUEN founded in 1919 Tokyo-based Bunka is Japan’s most prestigious fashion school group. Bunka Fashion College divides its teaching into four fashion programmes: creation; technology; marketing and distribution; and accessories and textiles. Dressmaking is a required class for all students, and is taught using the college’s own fashion textbooks. Their alumni includes famous fashion designers like Yohji Yamamoto. Besides education they also produce their own original tools and publish popular pattern books such as Bunka Shuppan.
